Six at 6pm with… Krisi, founder of Bird & Blend Tea Co.
Hello Krisi from Bird & Blend Tea! You’re one of the founders of a unique independent and award-winning tea company, which started off in your Brighton bedroom just 3 years ago.
You’ve expanded into loads more stores since opening your first on Kensington Street in Brighton; you also run a subscription service and shop from your website www.birdandblendtea.com
We’re huge fans of your tea here at Sussex Born & Fed – I adore your Triple B (a strong ‘builders’ brew) and my other half drinks boxes and boxes of your award-winning Gingerbread Chai.
So let’s hear your Six at 6pm.
1. Favourite Sussex brand and what they make that makes you go 😋?
Isaac @ is my absolute favorite because its been amazing to watch the concept, and Isaac grow into one of the best locally sourced spaces in Brighton.
2. Favourite place to go for coffee in Sussex?
Bond St. Coffee which is by Horsham Coffee Roasters – best coffee in town! Cool for people watching too!
Also I heard they have some pretty cool neighbors who do the best tea in town 😉
3. Favourite Sussex pub for a Sunday roast?
It was Dizzy Gull at Brighton Beer Dispensary but I think they may have moved on now. For an alternative Sunday pub lunch I like Bao at The Pond!
4. Favourite Sussex tipple?
Blackdown gin & tonic or a Bolney wine is usually my choice if I wanna stick to local!
5. Favourite Sussex dish or Sussex-inspired recipe?
I’m not from Sussex originally, moving down here just a few years ago to start Bird & Blend I’ve enjoyed exploring all the food on offer – I think Sussex really is the food capital of the country!
6. Banoffee Pie or Sussex Pond Pudding?
Banoffee Pie every single time!
Thanks so much for hanging out with us Krisi ❤️
